What We Buy
GIM pays cash for your scrap
Here's how it works...
You gather up all of your scrap metal, load it up in your car, truck or trailer and bring it in to GIM. Drive over our scales (off of Glenview Rd. in Smiths Falls) and the employee in the scalehouse will direct you from there. Our scales in the warehouse can accommodate smaller items. Our trained personnel will grade your items and weigh them for you. Then, drive up to the office where we'll pay you your cash!
What we pay for your metal varies due to market fluctuation, however, we do endeavor to pay you top dollar!
Some things to remember - if we have to sort your metals you will just be paid for "mixed scrap" which is usually less than what you would receive for separated items. You will also not receive full value for your scrap if it is not "clean." In other words, if your aluminum boat is not stripped of other materials (i.e. steel rivets) you will be paid less than half due to the fact that we have to do that ourselves. A good rule of thumb to remember is if we have to "handle" the material more than once you won't be paid as much.
The following are some of the items you might consider bringing in for cash:
FERROUS: Steel, Cast Iron, Autobodies, Motors, Tin, Appliances, Electric Motors, Cat. Converters, Starters...
NON FERROUS: Copper, Aluminum, Brass, Lead, Radiators, Batteries, Insulated Wire...
Too much to carry? GIM offers rental containers for your scrap. Call, email or stop in to inquire.
